ABOUT THE ART
Anxiety visualizes the experience of a mind caught in constant alert—overstimulated, watchful, and unable to rest. The originall was created using the batik process, the work layers vibrant, circular forms that resemble eyes, cells, or intrusive thoughts, repeating across the surface without relief. The intensity of color contrasts with the instability of the pattern, mirroring how anxiety can feel simultaneously loud and paralyzing.
The word ANXIETY is embedded directly into the composition, not as a label but as a presence—unavoidable and central. Frayed edges and irregular textures emphasize vulnerability and loss of control, reinforcing the sense of containment breaking down. Through repetition, color saturation, and tactile process, the piece captures anxiety not as a single emotion, but as an environment the body and mind are forced to inhabit.
